Prayer for Persecuted Christians

Dear Lord God,

We take this opportunity to express our loyalty to you and to proclaim that you alone are God. There are no other gods - only you.

We come before you to stand in prayer for the persecuted church.

We lift up to you in prayer the needs of the persecuted church.

We pray for the persecuted Christians in the Syria, Nigeria, North Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Pakistan, China, and ALL around the world.

We pray for the United Kingdom to stop their new plans for persecuting Christians and others for "free speech violations."

Father God, we pray for their protection.

We pray that you would bring supernatural protection for these Christian families, and for their homes, their businesses, and for their churches. We pray that you would protect them from being harassed, kidnapped, beaten, imprisoned, or hurt in any way.

We pray for their provision.

We pray that they would have enough food and enough water and enough adequate clothing. We pray that they would have appropriate shelter and that they would be kept healthy and strong both physically and emotionally.

We pray that you would bring them peace for their mind and emotions.
Lord, they need your peace and your hope as they face difficulties.

As they deal with all the hatred, conflicts, chaos, and violence around them, we pray that you would comfort them and give them perseverance and endurance to deal with each new day.

We ask that your supernatural power, grace, and love
would produce great miracles in their lives.

Lord, we reach out in prayer to those who are innocent of perpetrating evil and hatred - but are not yet believers in Jesus Christ.

We pray for their protection and provision.

We also pray that your love and truth would come into the lives of these people all over Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, and all over the world. We pray that the truth of the love of Jesus Christ and his saving power over hell would permeate this world.

We also reach out in prayer to those who are doing the evil.

We pray that you would wake up those who are spewing hatred and perpetrating harm and destruction.

We ask that you would open their mind to your thoughts, your views, and your compassion.

We also ask that they would be exposed to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

We ask that they would realize that they can be fully loved and fully accepted by you through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. 

God, in your word you tell us that you do not want anyone to perish and go to hell. We hear your heart, Lord, and we stand with you. We reject hatred, violence, and unforgiveness - and we promote love and compassion.

Lord, may our hearts become more tender toward the suffering of others.

May our mind  - and our will -  choose to express love even when we are hated.

Break our heart for what breaks your heart, Lord.

Help us to become more like you.

We yearn for your peace and your love to triumph all over this world.

In Jesus' name we pray,

God is calling his people to take notice and pray for the persecuted church around the world.

Hebrews 13:3 tells us:

Remember the prisoners

as if chained with them, those who are

mistreated –

since you yourselves are in the body also.

Hebrews 13:3  NKJV

Psalm 10:17-18 tells us:

Lord, you know the hopes of humble people.

Surely you will hear their cries and comfort their hearts

by helping them.

You will be with the orphans and all who are oppressed,

so that mere earthly man will terrify them no longer.

Afghanistan

Lord,

we pray for your help and your mercy

for those in Afghanistan.

Prayer Points:

We need to be in prayer for those who are

trapped and facing potential danger

and for those who have been hurt.

And we need to pray for the rescue of those who

are waiting to leave.

And we need to pray for the people whose country has

been invaded.

And we need to pray for the families of the dead and injured and those who are trapped.

Afghanistan Prayer

Dear Lord,

We come before you to pray
 as we see the dangers unfold in Afghanistan.

We come to you grieving for all those who have died and all those who are hurt.
We come to you grieving for their families.

Lord, we lift up the soldiers and civilians who are wounded.
We pray for them that they get quick help.
Touch them, Lord. Protect them, Lord. Save them, Lord.

Protect our soldiers no matter where they are stationed.

We cry out for those who are enduring emotional abuse in Afghanistan. Comfort them and bring quick help.

Lord, we pray for protection for American citizens
 and citizens of other countries who are trapped in Afghanistan,  and we ask that you would comfort them and that you would do miracles to get them out.

We pray for the protection of the people who live in Afghanistan.

We cry out for them
as their country is overtaken.
We cry out for
their physical safety
and for all their physical, mental, and emotional needs.

Lord, we pray for those who are doing the invading –

we ask that you would touch the hearts of these violent men and calm this situation down.

We ask that the leaders of the invasion
would have their heart changed and softened.

Lord, I don’t have the insight to know what needs to be prayed but I lead us in lifting up all the victims of this situation and asking for your protection and help.

And to those who are invading, we pray that they will be stopped from violent acts -  and if they will surrender to your sovereignty over their soul – we pray that they will be transformed and saved by the power of Jesus.

 We pray for your help for all people involved in this situation.

In the name of Jesus, we pray,
