The View From Above

We are here on Windy Hill

I-75.

There is a 5 car pile-up on the ....."

Many of us listen to the helicopter traffic report

on television and radio

as we get ready

to leave our homes in the morning.

Why do television and radio stations

pay hundreds of dollars a

day to operate a traffic helicopter?

Why do we care

if there is a traffic jam or a road closed?

The Answer is Obvious.

We want to go around trouble.

Why sit fifteen minutes in bumper to bumper traffic

when you don't have to?

In our lives, God is just like the helicopter pilots.

God sees

what is on the road

ahead of us.

He reports it to us.

However, many of us do not turn our radio on His station.

Through Bible study, prayer,

and listening to wise counsel,

we can avoid

many of the delays and setbacks in front of us.

Prayer for Wisdom

Dear God,

I need to seek wisdom. Help me to be teachable.

Lord, give me the determination to do what it takes to grow. And God, give me the wisdom to see trouble coming from far away and give me the determination to do something wise about it before it gets to me.

Amen
