Monday 

Jesus is the Word of God

The book of John

begins by explaining Jesus.

It says...

In the beginning was

The Word,

and the

Word was with God,

and the

Word was God.

² He was in the beginning with God.

³ All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

⁴ In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

⁵ And the light shines in the darkness,

and the

darkness did not comprehend it.

Word of God

speak to my heart.

I will read; I will listen; and I will follow.

Tuesday 

Today we talk about choices.

If we

do

not

read and follow the Bible -

then

we walk on the path

of

unnecessary

problems & foolishness

and

ultimate failure.

Wednesday

An Autumn Devotional

I have been thinking a lot about 

the leaves of the trees

and the cycles of the seasons.

The golden and crimson leaves

remind me that

when

summer is over,

the leaves begin to get their nourishment 

cut off.

Then they will soon fall away from the tree.

I am like the leaves

in that

without nourishment from my source

- who is God -

I will "fall away" from God.

-

I need daily nourishment

received from

reading the Bible.

Thursday

Thank you, God, for 

reminding me

today

to put you first in my life.

I will read God's word today.

I will be impacted by God's word today.

I will be changed by God's word today.

Prayer of Faithfulness

Lord of Infinite Love

I will put my feet on the path

that leads toward a closer walk with you.

Amen

Friday

Friday Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I thank you for giving me my Bible.

I thank you for the wisdom inside my Bible.

I thank you for the protection and guidance that you have put in my Bible  - to help me in my daily life. 

Lord,

I am asking that you would

help me

to grow

in my love for my Bible.

I am asking that you would

remind me

to read my Bible.

I am asking that you would

grow a hunger in me

for your wisdom and your ways of living.

Today

I am choosing

to increase my delight in enjoying you and your word.

Lord, I realize that you have been drawing me toward a closer relationship with you. Thank you for drawing me. I will move closer to you.

Amen

Here are
