 Daily Inspirational Thoughts

to bless your life.

The topic this week:

Inspirational Wisdom

from

the book of

Colossians

Introduction

"Come thou Fount" is a Bible hymn

with some important lyrics

that we would be wise to remember.

It says,

Prone to wander.

Lord, I feel it.

Prone to leave the God I love.

Here's my heart, Lord.

Take and seal it.

Seal it for Thy courts above.

This week, let's remind ourselves

of our tendency to

wander away from God.

Let's remind ourselves of that

as we read these

Words of Wisdom

from the book of

Colossians.

Monday

A Key Bible Verse

to think about

on Monday

And whatever you do or say,

let it be

as a representative

of the Lord Jesus,

and come with him

into the presence of God the Father

to give him

your thanks.

Colossians 3:17 TLB

Tuesday

A Key Bible Verse

to think about

on Tuesday

And now just as you trusted Christ to save you,

trust him, too,

for each day’s problems;

live in

vital union with him.

Let your roots grow down into him and

draw up nourishment from him.

See that you go on growing in the Lord,

and become

strong and vigorous in the truth

you were taught.

Let your lives overflow with

joy and thanksgiving

for all he has done.

  Colossians 2:6-7 TLB

Wednesday

A Key Bible Verse

to think about

on Wednesday

 Don’t be weary in prayer; keep at it;

watch for God’s answers,

and remember

to be thankful when they come.

Colossians 4:2 TLB

Thursday

As Christians, we need to remember -

You are living a brand new kind of life

that is continually learning

more and more of what is right,

and trying constantly

to be more and more like Christ

who created this new life within you.

 Colossians 3:10 TLB

Friday

 Remember what Christ taught,

and let his words enrich your lives

and make you wise;

teach them to each other

and sing them out

in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

singing to the Lord with thankful hearts.

 Colossians 3:16 TLB

Saturday

Since you have been chosen by God

who has given you this new kind of life, and

because of his

deep love and concern for you,

you should practice tenderhearted mercy

and

kindness to others.

Don’t worry about making a good impression

on them,

but be ready to suffer quietly and patiently.

13 Be gentle and ready to forgive;

never hold grudges.

Remember, the Lord forgave you,

so you must forgive others.

 Colossians 2:12-13 TLB
