Congrats to the K C Chiefs!
Brock Purdy

played in the Super Bowl.
Purdy
experienced
defeat
on the field Sunday.
Purdy

a model for promoting
Jesus Christ
as the answer
to all of life's
disappointments and difficulties.
Below,
Purdy highlights
a great way to start our day.

No matter what
Sports Team
we cheer for,
let's always choose
to be on
God's Team!
Lesson Number 3
In Matthew 4:4,
Jesus said,
"Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by
every word
that comes out of the mouth of God."
Jesus was saying
that
life is not just about
filling up
on food and earthly things.
We also need to
continually be filled
with the words of God.
We need to continually
read the words of God and learn about following him.
~
Psalm 25:8-10 TLB
says,
The Lord is good and glad to teach
the proper path
to all who go astray;
he will
teach the ways
that are
right and best
to those who humbly turn to him.
Lesson Number 4
Today we build on yesterday's lesson.
Jesus has many names in the Bible.
Examples:
Lion of Judah
Lamb of God
The Good Shepherd
The Door
One of his names
is
The Bread of Life
Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
The Word
Bethlehem
in the
Hebrew language
actually means
House of Bread.
Beth = House
lehem = of Bread
So,
The Bread of Life
was born in
The House of Bread.
I believe that God
did that on purpose
to delight
those of us
who dig, search, and find
these interesting facts.
Lesson Number 5
When we
turn on the
T.V.
or other
entertainment device,
we
INVITE
people into our home.
That can refer to our earthly home
or it can even be
that we invite people
into our heart.
We need to be careful
about
what we watch
and
listen to.
Psalm 101: 6a TLB
says,
I will make the
godly of the land
my heroes and invite them to my home.
In
Philippians 4:8b-9 TLB
Paul gave us godly advice.
Fix your thoughts
on what is true and good and right.
Think about
things that are pure and lovely,
and dwell on
the fine, good things in others.
Think about
all you can praise God for and be glad about.
Keep putting into practice
all you learned from me
and saw me doing,
and the God of peace will be with you.
Consider reading this verse
in several different translations.
