Prayer for those we love

Let's pray...

How often do we spend time

praying for those

who are

faking it?

Meaning:

How often do we spend time

praying

for those

who are pretending

they are

right with God.

 

First,

let's allow God

to stir us

up

with a passion

and with

appropriate concern

for those who are not right with God.

Loving Heavenly Father,

I am deeply concerned.

I have loved ones who are faking it.

Father, intervene and help them.

Get their attention. Get in their face and tell them the dangers of the path they are walking.

Give me a deeper heart of compassion for the spiritual lives of my loved ones.

Draw my thoughts to the truths I need to face in order to pray passionately for them.

Stir me to prayer.

In Jesus' name I pray,

Amen

Today, let's spend some time

hearing truth from God

(I know it will be hard for you)

about those we know

who show - little to no - evidence

that they love and respect God.

Let's watch the following video

in order to

stir up passion and concern

for our loved ones

who do not have a right relationship with God.

Prayer for our Loved Ones

Dear Heavenly Father,

I am crying out to you for _______.

As I watch the videos, I realize that my loved one is living dangerously. My loved one is not focused on you and your word.

My loved one does not really love you.

My loved one runs after the temptations that are found in the world.  His/her heart is far from you.

Father, I acknowledge that you are serious about every word in the Bible.

It scares me to think about what is going to happen eternally to ________ if he/she does not get right with you.

It is scary for me to think about how far away _________'s heart is from you.

I am calling out to you to stir _______'s  heart.

I am calling out to you to expose the lies that my loved one is believing that is keeping him/her from being right with you.

I am calling out to you to open _______'s eyes to truth.

Bring my precious loved one the thoughts that he/she needs in order to wake up and get right with you.

Give _______ a sense of urgency about getting right with you.

Father, I want __________ to have all your blessings on earth and in heaven. Please intervene and do powerful things.

Please stir my heart to pray words that are straight from your loving heart.

In Jesus' name I pray,

Amen

Loving Lord,

Use the video today

to stir up

in me

a heart of compassion

  for those who are far from you.

Dear Lord,

I lift my loved ones up to you in prayer.

I know that it is hard to get honest and transparent with you.

Getting real with you takes courage.

It is hard to face our sins before a holy God.

It is hard to repent and turn from our sins.

It is going to be a hard thing for my loved ones to do.

But I acknowledge to you that I know they desperately need to do it.

God help them.

Give them the thoughts they need to hear. Give them the emotions they need to feel.

Please God. I don't know what to pray, but I am willing to pray. Give me your words.

Turn my love for them into prayer action.

I will have the courage to face the truth about my loved ones and instead of running away from those thoughts, I WILL PRAY!

I will pray in Jesus' name!

AMEN!
