McLendon Funnies

Being a parent means lack of sleep.

Early one Saturday morning, my young son stood up in his crib and began to call for his parents. Moments later, Dad stumbled into his room.

"Wanna get up!" the little lad proclaimed.

His drowsy dad slowly walked over to the crib. Next, he gradually lowered his head so that it rested on the edge of the crib.

My perky little toddler thoughtfully asked, "Thinkin' 'bout it?"

Several years ago, we had to re-landscape our yard due to poor water drainage.

My thirteen-year-old son helped enormously.

A huge area of sod had to be taken away and later put back down.

After the second day of work,

this tired dad had to gently ease

onto his son's bed

as he told his son good night.

After his dad winced in pain,

the lighthearted teen

got a gleam in his eyes and asked,

"Having Sod Effects?"
