for Wives

There are

Three Prayers

Dear Lord,

I come before you

to put on your Armor

so that

I can

Stand Strong for you Today.

I put on the Belt of Truth.

Thank you for giving me your Bible Truth to guide me.

I will read your Word,

and

I will follow your truth

as you show me

what I can do

to grow to look more like Jesus

and

what I can do

to make my marriage stronger.

I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness.

Thank you for stirring my heart to love purity and right living. 

I put on the Shoes of Peace.

Thank you for guiding me toward ways

to make a peaceful home.

I put on the Helmet of Salvation.

Thank you for saving me

from

being critical

today

about my husband.

Thank you for reminding me

to find

and celebrate

all the good things about my husband.

I pick up the Shield of Faith.

Thank you for increasing my faith in you.

I will be a faith - filled wife

and a

faith - filled follower of Jesus Christ.

I pick up the Sword of the Spirit.

Thank you for stirring me

with Scriptures

that will make my marriage stronger

and

my walk with you straighter.

I lift up this prayer

in the

Miraculous and Mighty name of Jesus Christ,

Amen!

Dear Lord,

I give -  my heart and my life -  to you this day.

Powerfully draw my heart toward my husband and his needs.

Guide me as I seek to become the amazing wife that you have destined me to be.

Show me how to be a tremendous helpmate to my husband.

Multiply the joy I feel as I daily seek to bless my husband in a multitude of ways.

Reveal to me the ways in which I am ignoring and / or
not supporting the God-given needs of my husband. 

Draw my attention to all the ways that my husband is a hero.

Remind me that my husband needs to feel like a hero in order to  bond fully with me and in order to fully achieve his destiny.

Draw my husband's heart to you -  and to me -  that our marriage will forever be strong and healthy.

Amen

Father God,

You are the Shepherd of my Heart.

I dedicate myself to you this day.

I dedicate myself to moving my will so that it rests under your will this day.

I dedicate my heart to your purposes and your goals.

I dedicate myself to being where you want me to be.

I dedicate myself to pursuing peace with you, with your Word, and with those in my life.

I dedicate myself to love. May my love more and more look like the sacrificial, merciful, abundant love of Jesus Christ.
