God's word will comfort and heal

I know a young adult who is having depression. I am lifting her up in prayer. At the same time, I remind her to read God's word for comfort and healing. Also, to walk closely with God, confess all her sins to God and commit her life to God.

Forgive

Just want to add one more point which I think is the most important after much thought and that is to forgive.

When one is depressed due to what people say or do that hurt one deeply, it is important to forgive or else if one is full of bitterness and resentment, one will find it difficult to move on in life and will dwell in this depressed state.
