Psalm 92

God gives us Scriptures

to

guide us

and

help us

to age more easily and with less health issues.

As we are getting older, we need God's help for aging.

We are in the world

but we don't have to be of this world.

We are not hindered

as

those

who do not know Christ.

God gives us secrets

to the GREAT promises of God.

For example,

we have our

Bible sword

and the rest of our armor

which help us to live a supernatural life for Jesus. 

This is a page of

Psalm 92

prayer and insights

to improve our health

as we age.

First -

Let's remind ourselves what God says...

The Power and Wisdom

of God

says

in

Proverbs 4:20-22 NKJV,

"My son

[ my daughter ]

give attention

to my words.

Incline your ear to my sayings.

Do not let them depart from your eyes.

Keep them in the

midst of your heart.

For they are  life  to those who find them.

And  health  to all their flesh."

 

If 

God is telling us the truth,

 then 

reading God's word supernaturally helps our body.

I submit to you that God is telling us the truth.

Reading God's word and speaking out-loud
God's words multiple times a day will be
life-giving to our body.

No doubt about it.

I am convinced that God's Words are True.

results in

blessings to our body.

And many times

it results in an amazing change in our health.

I have seen MIRACLES in myself and others.

Yet,

I also need to say that

perfect health

and

experiencing healing from every issue we encounter,

will not happen.

Total and complete healing

of  ALL  our issues

are only promised

in heaven. 

Psalm 92

Let's look at the

Psalm 92

benefits

that God wants to share with us.

First

I have written out for you

the verses

in 

The Living Bible version.

It is an energizing translation for this psalm.

Then

I have done a commentary using the

New King James version

Psalm 92:10-15 TLB

   

^{But you have made me as strong as a wild bull. How refreshed I am by your blessings!}

 ^{11 I have heard the doom of my enemies announced and seen them destroyed.}

^{12 But the godly shall flourish like palm trees and grow tall as the cedars of Lebanon.}

^{13 For they are transplanted into the Lord’s own garden and are under his personal care.}

^{14 Even in old age they will still produce fruit and be vital and green.}

^{15 This honors the Lord and exhibits his faithful care. He is my shelter. There is nothing but goodness in him!} 

Notes on Verse 11 -

Think of your enemies as demonic enemies (Ephesians 6:10).

And

I also think of sicknesses and diseases as my enemies.

Next - NKJV version with commentary

Verse 10

But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox;

I have been anointed

with fresh oil.

Horn

The word "Horn" represents strength. 

This verse is saying that

the

Perfect will of God.

is that

our strength

will be similar to the strength of a wild ox.

Psalm 92 says,

I have been anointed with fresh oil.

-

We are refreshed with the blessings of God of fresh oil.

the word "Anointed" in Psalm 92.

In the Bible,

the word

Anointed

is associated with

God's empowerment.

From the anointing of kings and priests in the Old Testament

Christians are

anointed,

 - which means -

we are

given

God's Power. 

We are anointed with

freshness -

new, fresh, oil to accomplish things.

Oil is usually associated with receiving help from the Holy Spirit.

In the Bible,

Kings and Priests of God

were physically anointed with oil on their head.

Christians are priests and kings of God.

We are spiritually anointed by God.

Revelation 5:10

explains..

"And have made us kings and priests to our God;

And we shall reign on the earth.”

We shall reign on the earth in the Millennium.

Proclamation Prayer

Lord,

I will praise you this day.

I will speak out your Words.

You teach me to say - 

"You have made me as strong as a wild bull.

How refreshed I am by your blessings!"

And

I will also say,

Amen!

Amen means -  So Be It.

Verse 11

¹¹ My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies;

My ears hear my desire on the wicked

who rise up against me.

A Note about our Enemies:

Ephesians chapter 6

tells us that

people

are not our true enemies.

Our true enemies

are the

devil and his demonic team.

And

Ephesians 6

tells us

to put on God's Armor to defeat them.

Below

is an

Inspirational Scripture

about defeating the enemy.

“The Lord will cause the enemies who rise up against you

to be defeated before you;

they will come out against you one way,

but flee before you seven ways.

Deuteronomy 28:7 AMP

Scripture Proclamation 

The Lord will cause my enemies who rise up against me

to be defeated before me;

they will come out against me one way,

but flee before me seven ways. 

Amen!

Amen means -  So Be It.

Next

I give my comments on the Psalm 92 sentence that starts with -

"My eyes have seen....."

This verse reminds me

to look back

at when I have previously defeated the devil and his cohorts

AND

Be Encouraged.

They rise against me  - but they are scattered in 7 directions!

My comments on the Psalm 92 phrase that starts with -

My eyes hear.....

This section inspires me to think about

the future demise

of the spiritual enemies

who have risen up against me in my present circumstances

and then

choose to

Be Encouraged.

Proclamation Prayer

Lord God Almighty,

 Thank you for blessing me.

You strengthen me; you heal me; and you refresh me

through natural and supernatural means.

I have heard the doom of my enemies announced

and seen them destroyed in my past.

And I will see them destroyed today and in the days of my future.

I will see the destruction of

my sickness enemies, my disease enemies,

my malfunction enemies,

and every enemy that is attacking my body.

My body is getting stronger and healthier every day.

In Jesus' Healing Name I pray,

Verse 12

¹² The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,

He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Let's discuss - "The righteous."

This verse says that "the righteous" will be blessed.

When we repent of our sins and submit our life to following Jesus,

we are see by God

as "the righteousness of Christ."

Meaning -

We have been put in "right standing" with God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 AMP version explains

 He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin

on our behalf,

so that

in Him

we would become

the righteousness of God

[that is, we would be made acceptable to Him

and placed in a right relationship with Him

by His gracious lovingkindness].

So - 

I repeat -

When we repent of our sins

and

accept Jesus as our Savior AND Lord,

we are made

the righteousness of Christ.

That fact

does not mean

that

we can neglect to "choose righteousness" in our daily life.

Let's Look at Scriptures.

In Matthew 22:37-38, it says,

 Jesus said to him,

“‘You shall

love the Lord your God

with

all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

³⁸ This is the first and great commandment."

I remind you that

To love God is to love Jesus.

Jesus IS God. 

God is a Trinity.

Take note of  John 14:23.

Jesus said,

"If you love me, you will obey me."

The Scriptures reveal that God expects us to actively

"choose righteousness" in our daily life.

In this Psalm,

God emphasizes those who choose righteousness.

No one is perfect.

Believers are not perfect.

Believers do, however, wisely make

"following God's Word"

an important goal and a priority in their life.

And

when they sin,

they repent to God and then re-focus

on pleasing God.

1 John chapter 3 talks about this as -

practicing righteousness.

Think of practicing a musical instrument.

You practice to get better and better at it.

Christians who seek to follow Jesus

by

making right choices

will flourish.

They will overcome evil and give glory to God.

Those who are dedicated to

righteousness

are referred to as Palm Trees.

In the Holy land,

the palm trees are date palms.

They grow strong and beautiful.

The Bible tells us that

their palm fronds are used

to praise God -

and

we are designed to praise God!

See - John 12:12-13.

Palm tree roots

go down deep and wide

so they can survive in desert regions.

"Deep and wide"

reminds me of the song we sang in Sunday school.

And as  - we -  spiritually grow,

our roots go down deep and wide

and

stabilize us and sustain us

during dry, hard times.

Date Palm trees provide nourishment and shelter

for others

just as mature Christians do.

Palm trees are designed to get through storms.

And we are designed

to get through storms as we lean on God.

Palm trees bear lots of fruit  -

sometimes 200 pounds of fruit a year.

And

spiritually healthy Christians

grow abundant Spiritual Fruit.

Cedar trees of Lebanon

Those who are dedicated to

righteousness

are referred to as

Cedars of Lebanon.

The Bible says,

We will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

These cedars are strong and firmly rooted.

And

we were created to Stand Strong and Firm for God!

The Cedars of Lebanon

represent long life.

These trees can live for more than 2,000 years.

God wants us to have a long life. 

Psalm 91:16 says,

With long life I will satisfy him,

And show him My salvation.

Also see Ephesians 6:2-3, Proverbs 10:27, Proverbs 3:16, Exodus 23:25-26,
1 Kings 3:14.

We read in Psalm 90:10

that long life is between

70 and 80 years.

And

with supernatural intervention from God,

we can live longer than that.

So 70 to 80 years are plainly stated as God's will

yet

God's will is not always done.

There is a difference between

God's perfect will and his permissive will.

If we want the supernatural blessings of God,

it is wise to follow God's guidelines from his promises -

such as reading his Word.

See Proverbs 4:20-22.

If God imposed

his perfect will in all cases,

then Christians and non-Christians

would not have any free will decisions.

Important

NOTE:

I am not saying that

if someone is sick or dies early,

it was their fault.

This world has many negative results from Adam's sin,

and

add to that

the sinful decisions of others that effect us. 

(Consider the pollution of our air, water, and food.)

There are many factors that are beyond our control.

I am

saying that....

just as

we know that

exercising, eating healthy, getting good sleep, etc.

will improve our health...

so also

following God's Bible instructions

of reading his Word, speaking his Word, etc.

also improve our health.

And since we have the same spirit of faith,

according to what is written,

“I believed and therefore I spoke,”

we also believe and therefore speak.

2 Corinthians 4:13 NKJV

Speaking the Word of God - unleashes POWER.

Proclamation Prayer

Holy and Righteous God,

I give you thanks and praise.

You teach me

to love your truth and follow your truth.

You teach me to say -

"The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,

They shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon."

Thank you

that you didn't just mean

these

Psalm 92 Scripture promises

for

Old Testament believers. 

Thank you that you also meant them for me!

2nd Prayer

Dear God,

I want to be more like Jesus.

Help me

to do and be

what I need to do and be.

Forgive me for wanting my will more than your will.

Help me to stir up motivation to be more like Jesus.

Remind me of the Beauty of Holiness -

Written about in Psalm 96:9 .

I worship you when I yield to obedience and holiness.

Verse 13

¹³ Those who are planted in the house of the Lord

Shall flourish in the courts of our God.

We who love God

are planted

in God's personal garden.

In fact, we are grafted into the vine of Christ.

See John chapter 15.

We are meant to

flourish

even when those of the world wither.

We come into God's gates

with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise.

Thanksgiving and Praise

are

healing

to our body

and to our soul.

Our soul is - our mind, our emotions, and our will.

The Verse 13 Proclamation Prayer

will be included

in the

Verse 14 Proclamation Prayer.

Verse 14

¹⁴ They shall still bear fruit in old age;

They shall be fresh and flourishing,

Spiritually Healthy People bear fruit.

We who are dedicated to God

are called to -

Bear fruit - even - in old age.

"Bear Fruit"

Point number one

We are called to

Bear the Fruit of the Spirit.

If we are following Jesus, we will grow in

the Bible Fruit of the Spirit.

The

Fruit of the Spirit

is

love,

joy,

peace,

patience, kindness,

goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and

self-control.

Galatians 5:22-23 NIV1984

A Reminder:

The more

we make decisions

to

obey and follow Jesus, 

the more

our character will look like Jesus.

We also called by God to 

Bear fruit of ministry to others.

There are hundreds of ways that we can serve God. 

For example:

We can do good deeds.

We can teach children Bible songs.

We can give our little loved ones Bible story books.

(And we can read those books to them!)

We can help give out food to those in need.

Even during times

when

our body needs

to slow down -

our

lifting up prayers to God

can speed up !

Meaning  -

We can pray more than we ever have before!

We need to remind ourselves that prayer is

Full of POWER!

I remind you that

one day you will leave this earth

and

you will not have the ability

to pray for loved ones and reach out to them

with splashes of love.

God expects his people to be

Bearing Fruit

even as we get older.

Usually

old age

gives us more time than we have ever had.

Even those

in nursing homes can

bear fruit.

and other health problems

modified and tampered-with

Please consider eating

organic, non-GMO foods.

Yes, it is more expensive but it is much healthier

for your body.

If you suffer with indigestion,

for

four days and see how you feel.

Most Grocery Store meat is not organic nonGMO - 

even if

it is labeled that it is  > >   because of poorly written laws.

I'll explain further down.

GMO - stands for genetically modified organism.

GMO vegetables & fruits

have DNA that humans have changed

from what God created their DNA to be.

Humans have tampered with the DNA. 
GMO foods are harder to digest.

Look for the "organic & non-gmo" labels on all your foods.

checking out a rancher's personal website

and a chicken farmer's personal website.

Note:

Grocery store chicken is sometimes

sent to China for processing!

The healthiest beef

is

grass-fed and grass-finished

without any grains given.

Be careful.

It is legal to give cattle grains (GMO grains) during

the last 6 weeks of their life and still label the meat

"grass-fed organic."

This can negatively affect your body.

I suggest you find

ranchers and chicken farmers near you.

Many health food shops and farmer's markets carry healthier meat.

For beef - check their website or ask the rancher

if

their beef are totally grass-fed and grass-finished. 

For chicken - ask what they are fed.

For eggs - I suggest only organic, pasture - raised eggs.

Point Two

Many years ago,

my elderly mother

began

to display

 - rather suddenly - 

dementia symptoms.

Alarmed,

I took her to her doctor and firmly met with him.

The doctor

analyzed

my mother and her medications.

He found

that her medications

were reacting with each other,

and

he adjusted her medicines.

After

48 hours,

she was back to normal.

-

The Point is....

Be alert and analytical about the medications 

you and your loved ones

are taking.
