Prayer for Addressing the Pain

Dear God,

I cry out to you with weariness...

Weariness from waiting for my loved one to kick their addiction.

I cry out with tiredness and frustration at seeing all the devastation the addiction is causing.

Lord, strengthen me. Refresh me. Help me.

I feel so helpless.

Help me. Help my loved one.

Do something, Lord.

I am going to draw closer to you. 

I pray in the Life-Blessing name of Jesus,

Amen

Heavenly Father,

This addiction problem we are dealing with

has me left me

feeling overwhelmed and angry.

I am hurting.

I need help.

I need refreshment. 

I need a second wind to help me deal with this situation. 

Strengthen me and encourage me

so that

I can become stronger.

I want to follow you more closely.

I pray in the Strengthening name of Jesus,

Amen

I need to follow you more closely.

I need to use wisdom when speaking and when

making decisions.

I need to use self-control

in order to handle

all the situations that come from this addiction. 

Help me, Lord.

I am going to solidify my determination

to

listen for your voice

and 

yield to your will.
