A Monday through Friday devotional
Posted by Beth McLendon
Last week: Third John
This week's topic:
Creating an Inspirational Life
We present
Ideas
to help you create
an
Inspirational Life!
Monday
Start this year
knowing your purpose!
Starting at 4 minutes
Tuesday
Start this year
knowing your destiny!
God has a destiny for you
that is based on
Faith in God.
Many people see their faith
as
A Faith that fits into their life,
instead of
A Faith that is the Center of their Life.
When we accept
Jesus as our Savior and LORD,
God begins to work on us
- using his Word -
if
we
read his Word
with a teachable attitude.
We can yield to God and his Word
or
we can resist Him.

Yielding to God
If we yield to God,
God will reorder our priorities;
God will make adjustments to our life;
and
God will disrupt the way we used to do things.
If we yield to God,
God will re-arrange our life.
You know that
you have
encountered God
when you notice that
God is re-arranging your life.
Yielding to God
is not convenient.
Faith in God - is not convenient.
Loving God - is not convenient.
Obeying God - is not convenient.
~ ~ ~
God has a good plan for your life.
One of God's main goals is
to teach us
Christ - centered living
in a
self - centered world.
This Tuesday devotion
is based on the January 14 sermon of
Ross Jaeger of Rivertree Church.
The sermon is posted below.
Start at 31 minutes.
Wednesday
Start this year
intentionally
gaining wisdom.
Below
we present
Wisdom thoughts...
An active " FAITH in God " demands commitment.
~ ~ ~
A willingness
to wait on the Lord
is evidence that you are walking by Faith.
~ ~ ~
Whenever we stop trusting God,
we start acting hastily in the wrong direction,
and
we end up being ashamed.
~ ~ ~
Obedience to God proves our Faith in God.
~ ~ ~
True Faith is based on God's Word.

These wisdom words are from
an anonymous friend of Beth McLendon.
She is also
responsible for our
Thursday and Friday entries.
Thursday
Start this year
intentionally
getting to know God.
Everything we do,
we do for an audience of one.
God is always watching.
Whatever you do,
do your work heartily,
as for the Lord and not for people.
Colossians 3:23 NASB
The better we know God
the keener our
knowledge and discernment
will be
when making life decisions.
Quote from
Outstanding Anonymous Friend of Beth McLendon
We get to know God
by
reading his Word
with a teachable heart.
Would you join me and
commit to
reading a book of the Bible this month?
If yes,
which book are you going to choose?
Why not start reading
right now!
Friday
Start this year
by choosing a
2024
year verse.
A close friend called me this week
and told me that
God had led her to a year verse for 2024.
Isaiah 43:18-19.
~
I love the verse
and am also choosing it for my
2024 year verse.
I urge you to consider
choosing a verse for 2024.
Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV
English Standard Bible
says,
"Remember not the former things,
nor consider
the things of old
Behold,
I am doing a new thing,
now it springs forth,
do you not
perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert."

I encourage you to read this verse
in several translations.
Thank you for going me this week!
