New Year Prayer 2023
~
This page has
Prayer and Inspiration
for a
GREAT
YEAR!
-
Taken from a page from a previous year.
-
This page has a
PLAN
for
Success!
Everyone wants a better year
in
2023
than they had
last year.
How can we do that?
I'm going to show you...
But First..... let's pray!
New Year Prayer
Dear Lord,
I want to become a more faithful follower.
Thank you
for drawing me toward you this day.
Thank you
for reminding me of truth that I know
and
for guiding me to truth I don’t know.
Thank you for stirring me to
make a commitment
today
to make all my daily decisions
based on your truth.
I will read your Word.
And
I will listen for your voice.
In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen

Stir these ingredients
together
to make a GREAT YEAR!
1. Get a Vision.
2. Find out how to handle your "I can't" moments.
3. Add Encouragement
4. Keep God First!
Get a Vision
by
Answering these questions:
What do you want more of - and what do you want less of?
What do you want to improve in your life?
For example:
I want more time for my family.
I want less stress in my home.
I want to improve my finances.
I want more motivation to go back to school.
I want more motivation to exercise.
I want more motivational POWER!
Take those answers
and ask God
to give you some steps to start your journey.
Keep in mind:
We are all unique.
I urge you to get to know yourself better.
Consider:
What specific things motivate you?
What specific things encourage you?
Later down the page,
we will give you some ways
to motivate and encourage yourself!
This next step
helps you deal with
your
"I can't " moments
that
are sure to come.
Here are
2
GREAT answers
to the
"I can't" moments
you have -
First Answer:
When you feel like saying I can't, say...
I can't right now, but I can learn!
That means:
I can learn new information.
I can learn new self-control to attain my goals.
I can learn to receive new motivation from God.
I can learn to yield more easily to God.
I can renew my mind and gain strength by reading the Bible.
So when you feel like saying "I can't"
put on the
Belt of Truth
and realize that
God CAN HELP YOU!
Second Answer:
When I feel like saying I can't,
I can say...
I can do all things through Christ
who
strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13
The old me often said
I can't -
I am now saying:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
We all need strengthening from God.
We all need to read our Bible
and allow the verses
to transform our thinking and our living!
We all need to speak
"out-loud"
God's Words.
Strength Verses:
1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!
My Proclamation:
I will seek the Lord and his strength.
I will seek his presence continually!
Exodus 15:2a The Lord is my strength and my defense.
2 Timothy 4:17a The Lord stood at my side and gave me strength.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Isaiah 41:10 God says: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
We all need to read
Ephesians 6
and
PUT ON
the Armor of God!
Right now I put on each piece of God's armor.
And right now,
I declare that the enemy forces (Ephesians 6:12) that have
come to hinder me are powerless over me this day.
They are
blocked, bound, bewildered, baffled, bombarded, and beaten
by the power of Jesus Christ.
They are confused,
confounded, and conquered by the power of Jesus Christ.
They are overwhelmed, overturned, and overthrown - And
they are frustrated, frazzled, failures
Because
Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior has
Conquered our enemies and put them under his feet.
Praise the name of JESUS!
About 90% of the people on earth
need
encouragement
in order to accomplish worthy goals.
Encouragement from friends and loved ones
is great....
but....
not always available.
Think about the Bible character
David -
he became King of Israel.
David discovered
that
he needed
to learn to -
Encourage himself in the Lord.
David encouraged himself in the Lord.
1 Samuel 30:6 KJV says:
And
David was greatly distressed;
for the people spake of stoning him,
because the soul of all the people
was grieved,
every man for his sons and for his daughters:
but
David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
David learned how to encourage himself in the Lord.
That is important for us to learn.
One way to get a
Burst of Encouragement
is to check out our series called
Here is a
GREAT Page:
God is the most important thing in our life
- but -
it is easy
to get busy and
get distracted
and forget
to make sure that
a close relationship
with God
is our main priority!
Bible Reading
and
Prayer
helps keep us
CLOSE to GOD.
New Year Prayer
of Dedication
Dear Lord,
I want to be right with you.
I want that more than I want anything else.
Keep me close to you, Lord.
If I get drowsy in my Christian walk, Please WAKE Me UP!
Each day I will listen for your voice.
In love and devotion I pray,
Amen
