Depression is a serious illness especially as in my case clinical depression.
Depression can be brought on by many factors but depression isn't just a mental illness. There are physical elements, just as the brain, just not working as it should. Often this is caused by chemical imbalance.
So I would urge all to seek medical help. Take the medication offered. Sometimes as in my case, you will need to be hospitalized. However, trust in God, pray, pray for others you know who have depression.
The hospital I'm in has a chapel. Use it, pray in it, read the bible, God will direct you each day for the passage you need.
Recovery may take a long time but hope is eternal. When you have faith in the Lord, he will give you the strength you need to recover. He will make sure your medics know what they are doing and how best to help.
God's love is strong. Lean on God. He will embrace you when life is to much.
When I leave the chapel, I always feel uplifted. It is a special spiritual place, an oasis of peace in a busy hospital. It is filled with God's love.
