Often a person notices that

certain sins seem to be

plaguing

their family.

to help people

Defeat

the generational sin patterns

in their life

and

experience

FREEDOM

in Christ.

Sometimes these sin patterns
are called
curses.

Below is a

General prayer

for

Generational sin issues.

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are the God of the Amazing.

You are the God of the Miraculous.

You are the God who has Captured my heart.

My love for you is ever deepening.

My understanding of you is ever widening.

My obedience to you is ever growing.

Lord, I lift up in prayer, my past and the past of my ancestors.

I begin by asking your forgiveness for all my sins.

And I proclaim wholehearted forgiveness of those who have sinned against me personally.

I also forgive all my ancestors whose sin has somehow caused me problems and pain.

I come before your throne seeking total freedom from the generational issues, curses, and consequences of sin that have come against me.

I come to receive total freedom for myself and for my children.

I proclaim the POWER of  -

the Blood of Jesus,

the Name of Jesus,

and the Word of Jesus.

    The blood of Jesus sets me free.

Father God, the blood of Jesus is precious to me. I plead the saving blood of Jesus over my situation. I ask you to use the blood of Jesus to free me from generational curses.

The Bible says that “They overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.”

By faith I say, “I WILL overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.”

    The name of Jesus sets me free.

The name of Jesus is above every name.

I acknowledge my allegiance to Jesus, and I pray this prayer in the name of Jesus.

    The Word of God sets me free.

The Word of God is supernatural.

The Word of God is TRUE, LIVING, and POWERFUL.

The Word of God says, "No weapon formed against me shall prosper."

Lord, I ask you to take every generational weapon that the enemy is using against me and squash and destroy its power in Jesus' name.

As your ambassador, I say in Jesus’ name that all the weapons of the enemy against me are beaten, blocked, bound, and blown-up.

Your Word says that I am the head and not the tail – I am above and not beneath.

So I declare that:

I AM the head and not the tail. I AM above and not beneath. By faith I declare that today I walk FREE -  and I will not later yield back my freedom.

Lord, if there is anything I need to say or do to cooperate with you in releasing me from these generational curses, I ask that you speak them to my heart or guide me to that information.

My heart is set on pleasing you.

My heart is set on living for you - free of restraints and hindrances of any kind.

Thank you that your will is for me to be free in Jesus.

I am leaving this prayer time a Freshly Focused, Faithful Follower of Jesus Christ.

overcoming

by the

word of your testimony.

What does that mean?

My understanding is that

"the word of my testimony"

is the godly, powerful things I say about the situation.

~ ~ ~

If I say powerful, Bible-inspired things

about my situation

then

I can begin to walk

in the mighty power

that God gives his followers.

If I say defeated things,

then

I reduce the power God wants me to walk in.
