Prayers for Stepchildren

of

all ages

I have presented

many prayer pages

for sons and daughters 

but

I've never had

a specific stepchild page.

I have assumed that everyone

would use

the sons and daughters pages

for prayers for their stepchildren.  

Recently,

I felt stirred to do a specific page

for stepchildren.

Some of these 12 prayers

will be

for a male

and some

for a female

and

some are written

in the plural

for stepchildren.

Please modify

to match your family.

Lord  of  Warmth  and  Harmony,

May this winter

be a time

of warmth in our home and fun with our family.

A Prayer

for my

Stepdaughter

Loving Shepherd,

I am thankful

that you have

given me

a family to love and bless.

Thank you.

Today I lift up my stepdaughter to you in prayer.

I pray that

she

will feel

the

sunshine of your inspiration

on her face

this day and throughout this year.

I pray that she would perceive

the wonderful difference

it makes

when she yields to you.

My heart calls out to you

to cover her

with your protection

and 

remind her of your love this day.

A Prayer

Stepchildren

Lord of Amazing Miracles,

Every day

is a new beginning.

Thank you for new beginnings.

The choices we make

at the

beginning

of the day

can help aim our day

toward

greater

joy and accomplishments.

I pray that early each day,

my

stepchildren

will stir up their faith in you.

I pray that each morning,

they will set their heart on pleasing you.

I pray that when they encounter

difficulties and temptations,

they

will be

ready to respond

to

each one

with

wisdom, self-control, and a strong faith in you.

In the Life-Transforming Name of Jesus, I pray,

for

overflowing blessings

Heavenly Father,

I come before you today

with a heart full of joy

as I think about

my

stepchildren.

Thank you

for putting them in my life.

I come before you

overflowing

with prayers for them.

I overflow with prayers for your protection

and

your guidance

in their life.

I overflow with prayers that your Bible

will be

their beloved companion. 

I overflow with prayers that

they will recognize

wisdom

and

seek your wisdom each day.

I overflow with prayers that

they will

often stop during their day

and take time

to

enjoy

the company of you

 - their Heavenly Father -

who loves them

totally, completely, and perfectly.

A Prayer

for my

Stepson

Father,

I lift up my stepson in prayer.

When he is facing difficult situations -

even situations that appear hopeless -

give him

hope

by reminding him

that YOU do the impossible.

For your Word says

in

Luke 1:37 NKJV

"For with God nothing will be impossible."

In the Miraculous name of Jesus, I pray,

Our soul is

our mind, will, and emotions.

The next prayer

asks the Lord to bless a stepson's soul and body.

Lord of Love,

I pray that you would bless my stepson today.

Fill his mind

full of the wisdom that you have for him.

Fill his emotions

full of the uplift that you have for him.

Fill his body

full of the healing that you have for him.

Fill his will

full of the spiritual strength that you have for him.

for everything you are doing for my stepson.

A Prayer

Stepdaughter

Dear God,

I pray for my stepdaughter,

Help her when she encounters a hard day.

When she feels discouraged or defeated,
raise her up
with
the assurance
that you love her and you are helping her.

Fill her
with
the assurance
that
all her family members love her
and
are always ready
to help her and encourage her. 

May she more fully
absorb
your strength and your steadiness
each day
as
she handles unpleasant situations.

Almighty and Awesomely Amazing God,

You have many

wonderful names that tell us about you.

Thank you

for revealing to me another name - a new name...

Able.

Your name is Able - for you are Able.

You are ABLE to do

far beyond what we could ask or think.

Thank you, Lord, for delivering me from a place of

"I can't" to a place of "I can."

Thank you

for delivering my stepchild

from a place of

"I can't" to a place of "I can."

Remind my stepchild of previous victories

and use those victories

to

inspire and motivate

my stepchild during new challenges.

Thank you for the astonishing things you are doing

in us and through us.

Stepchildren

Psalm 103:5a NLT

"God fills my life with good things."

Heavenly Lord,

Every good gift is from you. You give us good things to enjoy.

I pray for good things for my stepchildren.

I pray for days filled with laughter and joy.

I pray for family times filled with warmth and harmony.

I pray for loyal and true friends who love you.

And I pray that they would come to know you more fully  every day and greatly value having you at the center of their life.

A Prayer

Stepchildren

Heavenly Father,

I pray for the spiritual life of my stepchildren.

Give them the thoughts that they need in order to get right with you and stay right with you. 

I pray that throughout their life,

they will have a vibrant, healthy relationship with you. 

I pray that you will always be able to easily get their attention. 

I pray that

reading your Bible will always be a priority in their life. 

I pray that they will

learn the lessons

that

you are setting forth

to teach them,

and

they will easily gain the wisdom

that

you want them to gain.

May they gather up godly wisdom in their heart and be prepared with a ready supply when they need it.

Guide them toward godly companions. May they choose the friends that you want them to choose.

As you reveal important parts of their destiny to them,
I pray that they will become excited about your plans for them.

A Prayer

for my

Stepchildren

Lord of my Heart,

I pray that you would help me to be a good, solid influence on my stepchildren.

Help me so that they can easily see Jesus flowing through my words and actions.

When I make mistakes and wrong decisions, remind me to be humble before them and apologize.

I pray that you would give them abundant help in the area of forgiveness, so that they can easily forgive me and forgive others who wrong or disappoint them.
