Lord of Amazing Love,

I lift up my young loved ones in prayer.

I celebrate your love for them. 

I ask that you would whisper your love to them as they move through each of their days.

I ask that you would help them to joyfully love and embrace your Bible Scriptures. I pray that your Word will nourish them and strengthen their heart toward dedication to you.

I thank you for ________. What an awesome little boy!

He has great enthusiasm and energy. He is wiggly and always busy.  I love to watch him play. He is a great blessing in my life.

Lord, I pray that he will discover that his greatest joys are hearing about  -

his Heavenly Father,
his Amazing Savior Jesus Christ,
and all the wonderful stories that are in the Bible.

I pray that he will be excited about the superheroes in the Bible, and he will want to become a Superhero for Jesus!

Guide me as I teach him how to pray and how to live for Jesus.

Lord, children enjoy playing dress up. I pray that my little ones will enjoy playing dress up as they put on the Full Armor of God.

Help me to stir up my enthusiasm as I teach them to put on your armor. Remind me to be energetic as I teach them Bible songs.

Lord of Blessings,

Thank you for my wonderful young ones and for all the talents you have put into them.

I lift up prayer for your blessings as they develop their talents.

I ask that you would give me your guidance in this area so that I can see the early indications of their talents, and so that I can be helpful in developing their talents.

Loving Heavenly Father,

You created us and you sustain us.

You do amazing miracles.

You often save us from problems and dangers - and many times you keep us from even knowing that something harmful was coming toward us.

I want to thank you for all the times that you protected my young loved ones while they never knew they were moving toward hurt or harm.

A Friendly Reminder:

Be careful what kinds of TV shows and videos

that you allow in your home.

Many children are having their innocence taken

by the things that are coming from the internet and the media.

Protection Prayer

Lord of Love and Protection,

I pray that you will protect my little ones.

Protect them from sicknesses and accidents.

Protect them from people who would hurt or harm them.

Protect them from having their innocence stolen and their heart shattered.

Lord, help me to cooperate with you in order to create a safer and more "God-friendly" environment for them.

Guide me so that I can guide them.

I will learn to listen for your voice and yield to you.

I pray these things in Jesus' Mighty Name,

Understanding the Trinity

Children do not naturally understand that

Jesus IS God.

When a child is old enough...

We can help children,

if we explain to them that

when people say the word

"God"

they are usually referring to Father God.

Yet, Jesus is as much God as Father God.

It is hard for children and adults to understand the Trinity.

I explain to children

that

Jesus is called the

"Son of God"

because

he is generally in the role

of a son -

doing what the Father asks.

But

The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit

are each

co-equal,   co-eternal,   and   co-powerful

 and 

each of them is fully God.

There is one God in three persons.

When Jesus came to earth, he was 100% fully God and 100% fully man.

Jesus did have to lay down some of his divinity in order to come to earth. For example, on earth he was in an earthly body and therefore, he could not be everywhere at once. 

Before Jesus came to earth as a baby,

he was everywhere at once.

God is omnipresent which means "he is everywhere at once."

So God the Father is omnipresent.

Jesus is omnipresent.

The Holy Spirit is omnipresent.

God is one,

yet

he is three persons or personalities.

There is nothing else in the world like God.

The Trinity works together as ONE, and they are actually ONE.

So we can tell children that The Trinity is a mystery that we do not totally understand.
