verse 7
When your world is overwhelming...
When you don't know what to do...
When anxiety is trying to envelop you...
Turn to God.
Draw close to Him.

Psalm 32:7 KJV
Thou art my hiding place;
Thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt
compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
Selah = Pause and think about that.
Songs of Deliverance - "Yes, Lord, I embrace Songs of Deliverance."
In the song below, Psalm 32:7 is sung this way....
God...
You are my hiding place.
You always fill my heart with - songs of deliverance. Whenever I am afraid I will trust in you.
When emotions are trying to envelop you...
God has the answer.
He is our teacher.
He is our comforter.
He is our hiding place.
As I sing that song,
the words and the music comfort me and quiet me.
I loosen the grip that my emotions have had on me.
As I sing that song,
I feel like that I am surrendering to God and
he is quieting me...
like a little baby girl who has been worn out from
crying and is finally surrendered and is quieted
even though her wish is not given to her.
Those thoughts
remind me of the following verse.
Surely I have calmed and quieted myself,
like a weaned child with his mother:
like a weaned child is my soul within me.
Psalm 131:2 NKJV
A Psalm of David
David wrote those words.
David was saying:
I have quit struggling
(at least for a time)
and I rest in you.
God calls out to us...
Be still and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10
In Psalm 131,
David was saying...
My struggle was similar to a child
who has gone through the weaning process.
David was saying...
I am now
no longer struggling
against this process of
accepting God's will.
Beth says,
for myself...
God wants me to accept where I am right now.
He wants me to stop struggling and rest in his arms.
I remind myself that
as I wait upon the Lord, he will strengthen me.
(Isaiah 40:31)
I don't give up hope for rescue in the future,
but I do give up fretting about it...
at least for a time...
and I want that time to last as long as possible.
I want to stay surrendered to the Lord and not fret.
When I sing the song above,
I become calmer
and more pliable
in the hands of my Heavenly Potter.
I am now better able to hear
the wise words of my best friend.
This page has lots more help,

Amazing tips and strategies..
But before a person can receive
tips and strategies
he or she must receive rest and refreshment.
To bring us more rest and refreshment,
I present our featured song again
with the beauty of dancers.
God gave us beauty
to refresh us and provide a restful experience.
We can always see the beauty of God if we will just look....
at a blue sky with puffy clouds,
at a strong, tall tree,
at a delicate flower,
at a sleeping baby,
at a genuine smile from someone,
or a little girl blowing bubbles.
And
true surrender to God - is
Beautiful.
All of the people in the video above
have difficulties and challenges
yet
they laid all that aside, and they showed up to
give glory to God.
Beautiful
The song lyrics say,
Trust in God
What does that mean - actually?
To Trust God,
We need to
SET OUR MIND
on thoughts of
trusting God.
I will tell you how...
Short Introduction:
Think of your daily life as being represented by a car.
You are the driver of your car,
and your thoughts are the
steering wheel.
You need to take control over your
thoughts or your thoughts will
keep steering you into a ditch of
worry, fear, discouragement, etc.
How?
How do we take control of our thoughts?
Answer:
In Ephesians 6:16, God tells us that he has given us a
Shield of Faith.
We are to raise our Shield of Faith and defend ourselves
from fiery darts.
Or some translations say
flaming arrows or flaming missiles or blazing bolts.
Fiery darts are
thoughts of Fear and Worry and Discouragement, etc.
So...
When we hear a "fiery dart" thought
of fear or worry, etc.,
God wants us to
Defend ourselves by
Raising our
Shield of Faith and saying,
"I WILL TRUST in GOD."
Or
we can choose to say a
Powerful Bible Verse.
For example:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13
We need to respond to the words of the fiery dart.
We need to respond by
shutting down its ability to influence us
into a ditch.
Fiery Darts are like Poison.
We need to shut down its poison.
We need to defend ourselves
and
not just let the poison contaminate us.
-
I encourage you to say these 5 sentences and each time,
emphasize the word in RED.
I will trust in God.
I WILL trust in God.
I will TRUST in God.
I will trust IN God.
I will trust in GOD.
Raise Your Shield of Faith
and
Defend
Yourself!
God doesn't want He wants YOU to |
Here is a Powerful Bible Verse to Say:
Because the Lord God helps me,
I will not be dismayed;
therefore, I have set my face like flint to do his will, and I know
that
I will triumph.
Isaiah 50:7 TLB
Flint - like an unchanging rock
The Champion above is standing on
the Rock of Jesus
armed with the
Word of God!
That is YOU!
Or it CAN be YOU!
When you are afraid...
Hold onto something
that is
solid and reliable and unmovable .....
When I have had to physically walk
in an area that is slippery
(and I feared I might fall),
I have looked for something
solid and immovable
to hold onto.
AND
As I am getting older,
I almost always hold the rail when walking on stairs.
I hold onto something solid and dependable.
During times of difficulty,
HOLD ONTO
The Bible....
Solid, immovable, dependable.
Hold onto the
Words of God.
In order to steer your car properly while on the road of life...
1. * Read God's Words regularly.
(Everyone has 5 minutes a day. You could even listen to Scripture in the car or while cooking!)
2. * Say the Words of God out-loud... and often.
3. * Regularly say out-loud Bible verses that are on the topic of your current weaknesses.
(Verses about worry, fear, etc. You can easily find Bible verses by topic. Just type in an online search box - Bible verses about worry. )
4. * Whether you see God doing anything or you feel anything, decide to thank God that he is changing your situation. He promises to help you if you pray.
Such as:
"Lord, I know you are improving my situation. I know that you are strengthening me. I know that you are working in my life in small ways and in large ways. Thank you."
Give Thanks to God often.
Words of Gratitude
draw us closer to God
and
refresh and strengthen our soul.
5. * Strengthen your belief that - the Words of God are Powerful- by SAYING Bible verses out-loud..... often.
6. *.... If...
If you don't deeply believe God's Word is Powerful -
then start saying
"The Bible IS POWERFUL"
and start meditating on why it is POWERFUL.
Give reasons why God would say it is Powerful.
Speak out Scriptures like Hebrews 4:12 and Jeremiah 23:29.
Listen to testimonies of how God's Word
was involved in miracles.
If you do these things with an open teachable heart,
you WILL increase your Faith in God's Word.
God's Word
Read the Bible with a Teachable Heart.
Allow
God's word to Speak to you.
Allow God's Word to Comfort you.
Allow God's Word to Strengthen you.
Allow God's Word to Instruct you.
Right after Psalm 32:7
- which is our highlighted verse for this page -
God says in verse 8 a...
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go."
NKJV
Word of God speak .... to me.
The confidence and assurance
that God placed
inside the Bible
is contagious -
if you will spend time in the Bible.
The first song has lyrics that say,
Let the weak say, "I am strong."
That is Scripture from Joel 3:10 b.
Other translations say, Let the weak say....
"I am a Mighty Man" or "I am a Warrior."
I have learned that God wants us to speak out what we want to see played out in our life. God shows us this in the story of Gideon. The Angel of the Lord came to Gideon when he was terrified of his enemies and hiding in a wine press.
The Angel of the Lord said to Gideon, "The Lord is with thee, thou Mighty Man of Valor."
Valor definition: strength of mind or spirit that enables a person to encounter danger with firmness - personal bravery from Merriam Webster
God called Gideon "a Mighty Man of Valor" even before he was.
We must stir up confidence and strength in ourselves by our words.
God made the world with words. God created words to have Power. Things change with the POWER of Words.
If we want more strength from God,
we say,
"I am Strong" or "I am Strong in the Lord."
Say things to yourself (out-loud) such as...
"I am a MIGHTY Warrior for God."
OR
"I have the POWER of God working for me."
Are you saying things like the above?
?
Or are you saying things to yourself like
"I can't do it."
"It won't work for me."
"I can't learn new things."
"I always mess everything up."
"I won't be able to do the things Beth is suggesting."
?
Now
I MUST remind you to...
Be SURE and put on your BELT of Truth.
That is part of the Armor of God.
You need to speak Truth about yourself....
The Truth that GOD SAYS ABOUT you...
not what you think about you.
God says that you are able to do
ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens you.
Philippians 4:13
God calls you his child.
Think about how angry a parent gets when someone says something mean about his or her child.
God doesn't want anyone saying something mean or disrespectful about you ...... He doesn't even want YOU saying it!!!
His Bible Words are for YOU.
Greater is He who is in me
than he who is in the world.
1 John 4:4

The Bible is infused with POWER.
It is designed to be spoken and thought about.
The Power comes out more and more
as you speak it more and more.
The Word of God has POWER in it.
And the Name of Jesus has POWER in it.
That is why we usually end our prayers with
"In the Name of Jesus".
I urge you to
call out the name of
Jesus
when you need help.

Peace and relaxation in your body.
Peace in your mind.
Peace that you are doing what God has told you to do.
Peace with other people.
