Milton did weaken before landfall -

We say - Praise the Lord.

Storm surge was weaker than Helene -

We say - Praise the Lord.

God has done huge weather miracles against Milton -
that being said....
there are
many in need and some lives are lost. 
People still need our prayers.

Helene- Oct 10, 2024 -
People are still without water and food and shelter
in
North Carolina and Tennessee and perhaps Georgia.
Many people need to be rescued.
Many people are unaccounted for.
And the dead have not all been collected in NC and TN.
Property damage is enormous in those named states and in Florida.
It is horrific. 

Let's continue to pray for all people affected by these storms

and for those helping.

Oct. 8

I am hearing that an enormous disaster is headed toward Florida.

I am hearing that entire counties in Florida

may become under water.

Oct 9 update:

Much of central and southern Florida is under elevated risk of tornadoes, with 53 tornado warnings having already been issued today as of 3 p.m. ET, according to the Miami branch of the National Weather Service.

Lord,

My emotions feel overwhelmed at seeing the devastation of Helene.

My emotions feel overwhelmed at hearing about Milton.

I feel inept at praying a prayer to cover the prayer needs.

I need words for praying.

Amen

Lord,

We call out for miracles - we call out for rescue and provision,  for open doors of safety, for open doors of protection, for calmness to prevail over panic.....

Lord,

We call out to you. We see the devastation of Helene. We hear about the raging of Milton. 

Rescue people. Bring people needed supplies. Do miracles we pray. Bring your love and mercy to each one who is suffering. Comfort those who are grieving. Bring strength, supplies, resources, and protection to each one who is bringing in help.  

We call out for your help to calm Milton. 

We pray that you would slow down the rotation of Milton and take the power out of this hurricane. We pray for the people who are right now dealing with Milton in areas other than the U.S.  Protect those people. Protect those communities.

We pray that you would cover and protect the people of Florida, and all other states dealing with these storms. 

We pray that you would bring your compassion and mercy to the land of Florida. We pray that you would save Florida from epic destruction.

And we pray that through these horrific events, thousands of people will turn to you or turn back to you as they deal with the storms or watch the storms. Lord, you are our only true shelter in the midst of storms.

May we all remember that this life is a gift from you and one day we will come before you and make an account of our life. 

And only the blood of Jesus that covers us as we repent of our sins and give our life to you - will be enough to pay for our entrance into heaven and our protection from the gates of hell. 

Father God, you are our focus and you are our deliverer.

We ask for your help this day,
