I've been putting on the Full Armor of God for over 20 years.

 I act like the pieces are visible and tangible. 

I actually go through the motions 

of putting the pieces on.

As I put them on, 

I speak out words to God 

that form prayers.

highlighting the word

SUPERNATURAL.

Here are the words I have been saying...

Sword of the Spirit

which is the Word of God. 

I pick up Supernatural POWER.

I pick up AMAZING POWER."

Think about that!

My Sword

Powerful Instrument of Change

I read it with a teachable heart.

Supernatural Power 

that you have placed within my reach.

that have been

motivating me and inspiring me

to stay in the Word of God each day.

The Word of God is POWERFUL to change many things.

Keep in Mind...

 It's main goal is to change 

you and me

to look more like Jesus.

Tips for Success

Number One

1

The Word of God changes my mind on various topics. 

The Bible says that 

reading the Word renews my mind.

 That means that

 I change from

 the way I used to think 

- to - 

 the way God thinks. 

The more I read the Word

 with a teachable heart, 

the more my mind thinks like God does. 

*

When God changes my

mind on topics, 

he also changes my perspectives on things. 

I begin to see things

 in a different light. 

For example, 

I begin to see 

the perspectives of other people more clearly 

and 

I begin to have more compassion 

for their needs and desires. 

I begin to love people more fully. 

I begin to be more like Jesus.

And the

Word of God

changes my desires.

Worldly

things

 fade 

and

 become more and more

un-important.

 I begin to want what God wants.

Number Two

The Word of God changes my emotions. 

When I begin to think like God on a topic, 

my emotions will change.

More and more

 my emotions will be 

stirred

 by what God wants them stirred by.

And my emotions will be

 stirred

less and less 

by

 my human wants and desires. 

Number Three

The Word of God changes my will.

Our soul is our mind, our emotions, and our will. 

Our will

 determines what we will 

ACTUALLY 

do. 

We can sit around and 

think

about what we will do.

And... we can imagine what we will do. 

And... we can talk about the great things we will do. 

And... we can get excited about doing great things for God.

 But

 it is our will,

 that determines 

what we will do.

The Bible strengthens our will to do God's will.

When we read the Word of God regularly, 

we change our mind and our perspectives. 

That results

 in changing

 WHAT

 we

 -  think - 

 is

 important and valuable.

The outcome of that

 is 

a change in

what we choose to do.

For example,

 previously, 

we thought 

Bible Reading and Prayer

 wasn't that important. 

But

 as we read the Bible regularly, 

we see how vital and valuable 

both of them really are.

We see WHY we need to 

give them importance in our schedule. 

We begin to realize 

what happens 

when we

DO

 make them a priority, 

and

what happens

when we

DO NOT

 make them a priority.

God's Words are Words of Transformation!

God calls his Word -

Food.

The Bible calls the Word of God food for a reason.

We actually need nourishment from the Word of God

every day.

* * * 
*

Are you as hungry for the Word of God

as you are for eating food?

God wants us 

to realize that 

it is just as important to read the Bible

 as it is to eat food. 

 Without Bible reading, 

we become spiritually weak 

and then

temptations will easily overcome us. 

Making a list of Scriptures

 that can specifically combat

 the temptations we are facing 

is a wise use 

of our time.

Each day,

we can read out - loud those Scriptures. 

In a few weeks, 

we will FEEL the strength coming into us. 

We will become stronger and more able to say, 

"No," 

when we need to say 

"No," 

and 

"Yes," 

when we need to say 

"Yes." 

As I pick up God's Supernatural Sword 

and read it or speak it out-loud

 (out-loud makes me feel the power more)

 I pick up 

Supernatural Help, 

Supernatural Outcomes,

 Supernatural Thoughts, 

Supernatural Emotions, 

and

Supernatural Will-Power!

God's Sword often changes our situations and circumstances. 

But

 keep in mind 

that the major thing 

it will change is you - if you don't hinder it. 

Psalm 23 says, 

"He leadeth me along the paths of righteousness 

for his name sake."

 God is always leading and guiding us toward

right things

 - so - 

we will 

GO TOWARD

right things

 and reject sin 

IF

 we don't ignore God.

Reading God's Word 

makes our

mind and emotions

more pliable to God's guidance.

I encourage all of you 

to put on 

The Full Armor of God 

regularly. 

It reminds us 

of the important 6 pieces of Armor

 that we need to pay attention to each day. 

Heavenly Father, 

Thank you for all the revelations and motivations
I get
from
reading your Word. 

Thank you 
for
telling me that 
daily Bible reading
helps me
to
become
wise,
avoid lots of unnecessary problems, 
and
walk more pleasing to you.   

As I follow you,  
my life
becomes
more beautiful -
more like Jesus. 

Amen

Remind yourself and your young family members...

Jesus is eager to spend each day

interacting  

with 

US!

And consider sharing this information with the

children and teens in your family.

Tell them "Why" they need to read the Bible.

Give younger ones

small bites of this information over several days.

And keep reinforcing

the information in the months to come.
