Prayer for my Country

Lord of All,

You are the Voice of Wisdom.

You are the Light of the world.

May we be more aware of your presence.

May we hear your voice more clearly.

May we reject the darkness of this world
and instead
run to your light
which is beaming on the path you want us to choose.

May we draw our hearts ever closer to you as individuals.

May our country - as a whole - draw closer to you.

Blessed be the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

Lord of Mercy,

My country is in great need.

My country needs more

Truth,

Godly Thinking,

Humility,

Stability,

and

Love.

And in my life, I need more

Truth,

Godly Thinking

Humility,

Stability,

and

Love.

For all the things that my country needs

and

that I need...

 - even things of which we are unaware - 

I ask you to provide. 

May we become a nation of people

who are more open to

receiving

your instructions.

I pray that

our unity and dedication to you

would continually increase.

I pray in Jesus' name,

Heavenly Father,

You have given us this good land as our heritage.

May we remember

Your generosity,

and constantly do Your holy will.

Bless our land with

industry, truthful education and a godly way of life.

Save us from violence and discord,

from confusion, from pride and arrogance,

and from every evil.

May we who came from many nations

with many different languages,

become one united people.

Support us in defending our liberties

and give those

to whom we have entrusted the authority of government,

the spirit of wisdom

that

there may be justice and peace in our land.

When times are prosperous

may our hearts be thankful.

In troubled times

do not let our trust in You fail.

That is our heartfelt prayer.

May You be honored in this nation

with godly leaders,

with humble people,

with obedient followers of Jesus the Messiah.

May Your kingdom come in power

in each of our lives

that we may

do Your will on earth even as it is done in heaven.

And may this nation

experience a spiritual rebirth,

a renewal

that comes through

the Holy Spirit of the Living God.

We pray this in the strong name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Almighty God,

We believe Your word

that

with You nothing is impossible

and that

You desire all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge

of the truth.

And so

we boldly pray for a massive move of God in our land.

We pray for millions of hearts

reopened to Jesus’ call to repent and believe the Gospel,

the Good News.

We pray, Lord, that we may see the days

when people will listen to You and hear Your voice

and will return to You.

We pray this with confidence in Your word,

in Your Holy Spirit

and

in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

in who’s name we pray.

Hear us, Oh Lord, bring life to our land.

Amen.

Psalm 46:1 says,

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

Lord,

in trouble times we come before You

on behalf of the nations and our nation.

We pray, Lord, for a mighty move of the Holy Spirit in our land,

we pray that

You would be honored and adored in Your church

and throughout the nation,

we pray that hearts would be returning to You

that

a mighty move of the Spirit of the Living God

would restore

families, marriages, communities, cities, and states.

Be still, You tell us, and know that I am God.

Lord,

may you be exalted in the nation.
